Our canine training staff has decades of law enforcement K9 training, patrol, and leadership experience. They have trained and managed hundreds of explosives and narcotics detection canines and K9 teams. Our team has experience providing security for a vast range of clients ranging from world presidents to students going to class.
Zebra K9 holds a license from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and trains exclusively with “live” training aids.
Depending on your situation and needs, we offer both short- and long-term contracts.
Our Canines
Zebra K9 deploys only the best bred detection dogs from selective breeders across the country. We partner with organizations like the American Kennel Clubs Patriot Puppy Program and Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory’s Explosives Detection Domestic Breeding Consortium to procure our American bred canines.
These consortiums understand what it takes to breed, raise and train an explosives detection dog. They take a scientific approach to breeding and training by evaluating the phenotypes (observable characteristics) and genotypes (genetic characteristics) that produce the best detection canines. Zebra K9 also participates in a longitudinal study evaluating the performance characteristics of the canine throughout its working career.
